FABIANI WELCOMED TO OPTICAL FACTORY AS PART OF CONNECTING MSP'S WITH SCOTLAND'S TOWNS INITIATIVE

Linda optical factoryThe owners of East Kilbride’s The Optical Factory Sean Walls and Carla DiMambro were recently visited by some special guests as they hosted a visit for Connecting MSPs with Scotland’s Towns Initiative. Alongside East Kilbride’s MSP Linda Fabiani were Hisahi Kubogama, Bob Hannah and John Sullivan from the Federation of Small business. The visit was arranged by the Federation of Small Business as part of a program that engages MSP’s to meet with local business owners.

The visit allowed Carla to discuss the Visual Stress clinic that operates in The Optical Factory with Linda, updating her with some of the successful patients who have benefited from this clinic.  The clinic operates every second Saturday in both the East Kilbride and Hamilton branches of The Optical Factory, and has improved the lives of many school children and adults within South Lanarkshire.

After the visit, Carla said:

“Having the Visual Stress clinic in the practice is great. Working alongside Janice, who is our Orthoptist, has shown me the impact that Mearse Irlen has on many people, and the difference that our clinic can make to many people’s lives”.

Linda added:

“It is always great to visit the team at the Optical Factory – everyone is so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. This is a company which has gone from strength to strength – a successful business with a community ethos.”
