Linda Fabiani MSP for East Kilbride has this week launched her own mobile app allowing constituents to keep up to date with what Linda is doing both in Parliament and in East Kilbride. Named ‘FabApp EK’, the mobile app is free to download, and will allow both constituents and Linda to communicate via smartphone and tablet devices.
“I have always strived to be an MSP who is accessible to constituents, whether it’s in person, over the phone, email or through social media. I have embraced both Twitter and Facebook, but this smartphone app is a fantastic new way to bring everything together. It will show my surgery times, local press releases, latest pictures from constituency events, and how to get in touch with my office.
“I am excited about the app and hope constituents will find it a useful tool. With the welfare reforms coming into effect and the referendum forthcoming, people need to be able to communicate with their elected representatives and be kept abreast of the latest developments. I hope this app makes it even easier for constituents to reach me as I am always available to answer their questions and help where I can.”
Available on android and iOS, the app will be regularly updated with Linda’s work in the town and in Parliament and will offer a platform for users to communicate through email, telephone, Facebook and Twitter, all from the app itself. To download the app, simply go to Google Play or the Apple App store, and search for ‘FabApp EK.’
