Linda Fabiani MSP for East Kilbride attended Calderglen High School last week to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day.

Linda said “I was honoured, along with the pupils, to hear Harry Bibring recall his experience.

“Harry was one of the children sent on the ‘children’s transport’ from Austria to England to save them from the atrocities of WW2. He never saw his parents again – they died in the Holocaust.

“Harry made England his home, and made a great success of his life – such spirit!

“Harry spoke for a long time about his experiences, and I think we were all spellbound.

“Well done to Calderglen High School and South Lanarkshire Council for hosting such a special Holocaust Memorial Event on behalf of the people of East Kilbride.”
